Evaluation
With the exception of puppies, all new dogs must be approved before they can register for class. The Director of Training, Ray Czubek, will evaluate new dogs to determine if they are candidates for group class and to determine the most appropriate obedience class level. Evaluations take place the week prior to the start of a new session.
Policies
PRE-PAYMENT POLICY
NOCI has instituted a pre-payment policy for all classes.
When registering for a class, all students will be required to pay in full. This is to prevent the loss of class spots and revenue caused by students who register but drop-out without notifying the club or paying for their class.
When current students register for the next session in week 5 or 6, they must put their payment and any service credits in the class envelope on the clipboard to secure their spot in the class. Payments for classes can also be made through Cheddar Up. If payment is not received by the end of week 6, the reserved spot will be released to a student on the waiting list.
The refundable class-drop period ends the Friday before the new session begins.
NO ABUSE POLICY
No one is allowed to abuse or terrorize any dog on our club property or at club sponsored functions at any time. This policy is strictly enforced! Any member or guest not adhering to this policy will be asked to leave the premises and will lose their privilege to train at NOCI or enter NOCI events. The use of electronic shock collars is not permitted at NOCI.
NO SMOKING POLICY
There is no smoking in the training hall at any time.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP
Physical and/or verbal harassment, assault, and/or battery towards any individual on NOCI premises or NOCI sponsored events will be grounds for losing the privilege of training at NOCI or entering any of its events.
CLEANUP
Due to the fact that it is becoming more difficult to lease properties for training and events because of careless individuals, all handlers training at NOCI or attending a NOCI sponsored event is required to clean up after his/her own dog and dispose of the waste in a proper receptacle. Anyone failing to do so will be asked to leave the premises and may lose their privilege to train at NOCI or enter NOCI events.
